Services and Procedures

Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help to alleviate serious health problems.

To assist you in managing your pet’s care, we encourage you to utilize ePetHealth, a portal to your pet’s records, online store, and informational articles or the Veterinary Partner, which is an excellent pet resource.

In addition to providing a variety of services for the care of your pet, we utilize the latest technology and equipment to improve your pet’s recovery time.

Anesthesia: We utilize the safest anesthetics available to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient’s vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.

Behavioral Counseling: We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, and house soiling.

Boarding: We provide pet boarding as a service to our clients. All boarders receive personal attention from our caring staff. Pets may be dropped off and picked up during regular business hours Monday through Saturday with an additional pickup time available on Sunday evening.

Dentistry: Our dental services include complete oral examinations, ultrasonic scaling to clean the teeth, polishing, digital dental X-rays, tooth extractions and minor oral surgery.

Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services: Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pet’s complete health care needs.

Dietary Counseling: We will provide guidance regarding your pet’s nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance, and performance.

Electrocardiography Services: We provide EKG services on-site as well as consultations with cardiology specialists.

Emergency Care: In the event that your pet should need emergency care while we are closed we recommend the following emergency clinics:

Internal medicine and referrals: We offer complete diagnostic workups and treatment for most internal medicine cases. For more complicated cases, we offer referrals to an internal medicine specialist.

Laboratory: Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis, and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.

Laser Therapy: Therapeutic laser therapy is useful in treating post-surgical pain and inflammation and is used for many acute and chronic conditions that involve pain, inflammation, infection or wounds. Whether your pet is recovering from an injury or surgery, or if your pet is developing pain and stiffness associated with arthritis, the laser has been shown to provide pain relief and speed the healing process.

Permanent identification: We offer Home Again microchip identification to help return lost pets to their owners.

Physical Rehabilitation: Physical rehabilitation is used to restore the quality of life to geriatric, injured, and overweight pets, and to speed recovery in post-operative patients. We offer physical rehabilitation services including therapeutic exercises, therapeutic ultrasound, heat and cold therapy, massage and stretching, and therapeutic laser. Physical rehabilitation is useful in recovery from orthopedic and neurologic injuries and surgery and in management of arthritis pain and progression.

Radiology Services: Our on-site, digital X-ray equipment provides high-quality radiographs to aid in the diagnosis of many disorders.

Surgical Services: Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures. Also, we offer a wide range of soft tissue surgeries and cryosurgery.
